An exclusive stay in Saint Emilion vineyard

Located at the hilltop of Saint Emilion’s vineyard, the Castle Troplong Mondot offers stunning views on the village of Saint Emilion and its bell tower.

The region benefits from a unique 360° exposure and an unmatched complexity of soils. This domain, with its 43 hectares, is one of the largest vineyards of the appellation, mainly in the Merlot grapes variety.

This “Premier Grand Cru Classé” of Saint Emilion is so much more than just a wine estate. Here, the art of receiving makes sense.

Fully renovated in 2019, the keys of Trolong Mondot offer a warm and intimate welcome in every room, as well as a cosy sitting room to taste the wines of the estate. A house in the vineyards has 2 splendid rooms for an intimate and rare moment.

The authenticity of the stay translates as well in the plate. The Gourmet Chef David Charrier offers refined and inventive cuisine at the Château’s secret table. The wines of Château Troplong Mondot are carefully selected for courses’ pairings to explore this typical region.

The visit of the domain introduces you to the privacy of the work of these wine professionals, by discussing with the cellar master or the technical manager, who will share with you their passion.

The authenticity appears from the walk through the vineyards, by discovering the different soils, stones, and the specificities of the grapes. It is also conveyed while visiting the technical rooms such as the cellar and the vat room where the wines ferment and age before they get to your home.

Following the private visit, you will be either offered an aperitive on the terrace overlooking the bell tower of Saint Emilion, a walk through the vineyards of the village, or a ride on an electric bike to discover the most beautiful local wine estates.

Staying at Troplong Mondot is about living an experience, an atmosphere, a very special place, getting nourished by it and feeling at home.
