TOUR DE FRANCE 2021

On the occasion of the Tour de France, we had the pleasure to organise an event in collaboration with the Arkea Samsic team during the 20th stage from Libourne to Saint Emilion.

A historic team in the Tour since 2005, and managed by Emmanuel Hubert, it has gained international renown over the years and now includes big names in cycling such as Warren Barguil and Nairo Quintana.

Château Ambe Tour Pourret, Saint Emilion Grand Cru, opened its doors to us for a sunny day. Created in 1811, the property is located on the historic road linking Saint-Emilion to Coutras.

With a surface area of 5 hectares, classified as Saint-Emilion appellation, the Château has decided to convert to organic farming.

We had the privilege of being on the front line of the Tour, close to the cyclists for this last 30.8km time trial race. Positioned at 1.7km from the finish line, our clients benefited unique access.

Several activities were organised during the day.

Guests were able to enjoy a private tour of the Château guided by the owner of the estate, a tasting of the estate’s wines, as well as an introduction to golf. The day was punctuated by gourmet breaks and delicious vine shoot grills.

At the end of this stage, the Belgian cyclist Wout Van Aert won with a time of 35min and 53 seconds, followed by Kasper Asgreen and Stefan Kung. The yellow jersey Tadej Pogacar finished 7th in the time trial and kept his jersey for the return to Paris.
