PRO-AM Château Troplong Mondot

For the 4th edition of the Golf & Wine Charity Pro-Am, we gathered the players in the heart of Saint Emilion, unique for the importance of its properties, the quality of its wines and the majesty of its architecture and monuments.

This Monday, October 3, 2022, the Grand Saint Émilionnais GC opened its doors to great players of the European Tour.

Grégory Bourdy, 4 times winner of the European Tour, and also Julien Quesne who has 2 victories.

Jamie Donaldson is a three-time winner on the European Tour and a member of the 2014 Ryder Cup winning European Team, and Richard Sterne is a six-time winner on the European Tour.

To start the day, players competed on an exceptional course in the 3rd best golf course in France, designed by Tom Doak, architect known for his minimalism. This course offers a unique golfing experience with a panoramic view of a vast area dotted with ancient trees, the splendor of the vineyards as a backdrop and a varied relief.

This charity day in favor of the Association Aquitaine Destination Enfance allows us to offer our help to the actions carried out to improve the life of the children treated in the pediatric oncology departments of the hospitals of the Nouvelle Aquitaine region. The association organizes cultural and sporting events for children and their families, which allow them to escape the context of the disease, for a day or more. Grégory has been a godfather of this association for several years and spends days with these children whenever he can.

The rest of the day took place at Château Troplong Mondot, Grand Cru Classé of Saint Émilion, with a private tour of the Château with tasting of the vintages, led by the director himself, Aymeric de Gironde.

Troplong Mondot dominates the landscape. Located at the highest point of the appellation, its terroir benefits from a unique 360° exposure and an incomparable soil complexity.

For dinner the participants were invited to the table of Belles Perdrix, a restaurant awarded a Michelin star, to appreciate the talents of the chef David Charrier around a gastronomic meal. A meal of delicious dishes accompanied by the beautiful years 2004, 2008 and 2012 of Château Troplong Mondot.

To conclude this magnificent evening, an auction in favor of the Association Aquitaine Destination Enfance, allowed to collect more than 8 000 € of donations for a beautiful cause.
